BMT Oncology RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract RN role in Saint Louis, Missouri
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract
  • Unit has 32 beds and an average daily census of 30
  • Ratio: 4:1 for all shifts
  • Floating is required within the Oncology department as needed, and the nurse may be floated to the unit with the greatest need each shift

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology (1 year of experience)
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ONS/ONCC
  • Administration of chemotherapy
  • Accessing and managing ports
  • Central line blood draw
  • Central line/implanted line care
  • PICC line care
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Cons

Just parking if you work dayshift have to take a shuttle to hospital and park far in a parking lot. Nightshift you can park in the garage.
