Registered Nurse - SICU

Assignment Overview

• Location: New Haven, Connecticut
• Contract Length: 6 weeks, one contract only, no extensions
• Purpose: Winter coverage
• Start Date: ASAP, must start by 12/11
• Shift: Night, 4x12 hours (19:00 to 7:00), 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week
• Float Scope: May float to ICUs at other campuses within the system
• Other: No RTO

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience (2 years)
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start is highly preferred but not required. A declination is acceptable. TD is not accepted in place of Tdap.
• 3M N95 1860 (small or regular) or 1870+ respirator. Any mask is accepted if the size is included.
• Initial series of COVID vaccines, if previously received

Exclusions and Notes

• Mobile Heartbeat Alarm module is not required for ICU roles.
• Vaccine and training exemptions require approval through the facility. Religious exemptions can be approved by the agency.
