• ER RN needed for per diem coverage.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of ER experience
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• CPI Blue Card only; must be 100% in person
• PALS
• 1:4 patient ratio experience
• 2 supervisor references from a work assignment within the last year
• Recent Epic experience
• Must live within 50 miles
• 1 year separation policy from UCI Health

Preferred

• Able to work at least 2 days per week

• General Emergency Department, combined Adult/Pedi
• Non Trauma Emergency Department
• STEMI Certified Facility
• Stroke Certified Facility
• Special procedures: Intubation, Code Blue, Code Stemi, Code Stroke
• Skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, medications, CVA care, splinting, managing violent behavior, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage
• Avg. daily census: 50
• Rooms: 28
• Beds: 28
• Visits/day: 110

Orientation / Compliance Notes

• 12-hour orientation during the week, day shift
• Epic test-out is completed remotely
• 12–14 hours of pre-start modules
• Per diem RN pass/fail testing includes a medication/calculation exam and an arrhythmia recognition assessment
• CPI Blue Card can be completed onsite after start at no cost if needed, but onsite option is not offered for per diem in this posting
• Flu vaccine required by 12/5; declination accepted
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Fit mask required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
• Hepatitis B positive antibody titer or signed declination only
• Hepatitis C titer is strongly preferred, but declination is accepted if necessary
