Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: Pomona, California Start: ASAP Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00 to 07:30) Hours: 36 hours per week, guaranteed. The client may cancel up to 3 shifts during the assignment.

Schedule and Assignment Terms

• Up to 5 days of RTO (requested time off), with 1 holiday approved off. RTO must be submitted before offer.
• Three missed shifts may result in cancellation of the assignment.
• Weekend work required.
• Not on-call.
• Does not accept block schedule requests. Specific schedule requests cannot be made.
• Float: may float within scope to other ICU and Tele units, as well as MS/Tele.
• Locals accepted.
• Pending license not accepted.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), AHA only; AHA RQI and instructor cards acceptable
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association, AHA only; AHA RQI and instructor cards acceptable
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale certification, expires 2 years from course date)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding Requirements

• Background check: completed within 30 days of start, covering the last 7 years. Must include a Social Security address trace covering 15 years, national criminal search, sex offender search, and education verification. Instant searches and old background checks are not accepted.
• Exclusion checks: EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 30 days prior to start. Medi-Cal exclusion search within 30 days prior to start.
• Drug screen: negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start. Instant screens not accepted. Annual retest required.
• TB: either 2 negative TB tests (1 PPD within 90 days of start and a second TB test within a year) or a Q-Gold or T-Spot within 90 days of start. Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Immunizations: Tdap (or declination) within 10 years prior to start, with Td not accepted in lieu of Tdap. Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and varicella titers or immunization records. Proof of varicella disease history is not accepted.
• Flu vaccine or facility declination, with the deadline for working candidates on 11/30.
• Physical exam: within 12 months of start, stating clearance to work without restrictions. Updated annually.
• N95 fit test: required for clinical candidates.
• References: 2 professional references rated on a 1-5 scale, from a manager, supervisor, charge RN, or HR. One must be from the most recent experience.
• Employment application: 15 years of work history with cities and states lived and worked, including any time off.
• Facility documents: orientation packet acknowledgment within 48 hours, systems access form within 24 hours, badge photo within 72 hours, and signed policies prior to start, including the float policy, timekeeping, job description, and standard of care acknowledgment.
• Modules: facility modules assigned through the learning platform, with a passing score above 80%. Transcript required.
