Unit Details

• Patient Types: Oncology, med/surg, chemo/side effect management
• Bed Size: 28
• Ratio: 1:5-6 on nights
• Drips/Titrations: None
• Equipment: Infusaport access
• Float: May float across other med surg units
• Campus Float: Traveler will be required to float across the system's campuses

Schedule and Policies

• Holidays: Unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays.
• Orientation: NBO, 16 hours
• Past Employee Restriction: Past employees, whether FTE or PRN float pool, cannot work travel in another market, regardless of the facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. This does not apply to those who worked travel assignments (not FTE or PRN) at this system.
• EMR: Epic (software familiarity, not a credential)

Requirements

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience within the last year (1 year of experience)
• Experience in a hospital setting
• Oncology experience
• Experience with Infusaport access
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid driver's license
