Overview
- Travel assignment in Salem, Virginia
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Unit: Maternity Care Center
- Floor: 2 West
- Building: Main
Unit Details
- 9 LDR beds
- 8 PP/GYN beds
- 2 OR suites
- 23 wellborn nursery beds
- Patient ratios: 3 couplets per nurse; L&D 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural
- Typical procedures: Labor & Delivery, cesarean sections, post-partum and newborn care, OBED triage, inductions, midwives
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Post Partum (2 years of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- OB experience
- Nursery experience
- OB/GYN experience
- Labor and Delivery experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN
Preferred Qualifications
- Cesarean section circulator, 1st assist, scrub experience
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- No call requirement for travel staff
Floating
- Within the unit only; does not float elsewhere in the facility
