Location: Peoria, Illinois Employment Type: Clinical-Nursing Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Role Overview
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides nursing care using the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and financial and human resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Implement and modify plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures
- Maintain accurate nursing care documentation for the healthcare team
- Report and correct safety hazards and incidents for patient and employee safety
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois state RN license
- 3 years of neurology nursing experience
- Neurology nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
