Job Description

Seeking an in-person Speech Language Pathologist to replace a virtual SLP for the upcoming school year. The role involves working with children and young adults from birth to 21 years old, managing a caseload of about 30 students. The position may require travel between multiple school sites within the area, but not on the same day.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maryland Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in hand
• ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) is required or must be confirmed with the client
• Experience working with pediatric populations (birth to 21 years)
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30 clients
• Willingness to work in multiple school locations as needed

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start date, updated annually, including multiple searches (SS Trace, Federal, Nationwide, County, Sex Offender Registry) covering last 7 years of residence/work/school
• Maryland CJIS/DSS/FBI fingerprinting and clearance attestation required prior to start
• State-specific sex offender registry check required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
• Educational Services - State Teaching Certificate or equivalent as applicable
• Mandatory Reporter training certification (must be current)
• Various employment and tax documents required prior to start (e.g., W4, I9, Direct Deposit Authorization)
• Physical exam, TB testing, and immunizations may be required if specified by client or state
• Drug testing only if specifically requested by client
• Annual acknowledgment of Orientation Safety Manual and FERPA compliance
