Surgical Technologist - OR (Days)

Location: Bad Axe, Michigan Employment Type: Temporary Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 8 hours per day

Role Overview

• Assists surgeons and other medical professionals in operating rooms and similar environments.
• Prepares patients, rooms, and equipment for pending surgical procedures.
• Assists during procedures as part of the surgical team.

Unit Details

• Unit Size: 3 OR rooms and a Procedure Room
• Staffing Ratio: 1:1
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
• Coverage: Outpatient and inpatient surgeries for adults and children; the surgical team is available for emergency surgeries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Surgical Specialties: Cancer, Ear, Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, Ophthalmological Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Podiatry Surgery, Urological Surgery

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• NBSTSA or CST certification
