Shift: 5 x 8-hour days, Day/Mid, 10:00 to 18:00, variable days

Required Qualifications

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN)
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Job Description

This position coordinates all aspects of nutrition care and consults with other healthcare professionals as needed. Essential functions include:

Competent use of the Nutrition Care Process: nutrition assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, patient-specific goal setting, and monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up of outcomes
Providing evidence-based nutrition education to patients and families in outpatient and/or inpatient settings
Providing consult services to other healthcare providers and participating in the interdisciplinary team

Onboarding Requirements

Background checks: Background check (7-year search, including SSN trace, national criminal search, and Social Security verification) completed within 60 days of start
Exclusion screenings: EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG, run 15 days before start and every 45 days after
Education verification: Verification of highest education related to your specialty
State fingerprinting: Alaska state fingerprint results
Drug testing: Completed within 30 days of start
Physical exam: Completed within 1 year of start
TB screening: Negative IGRA or 2 PPDs within 1 year of start, with an annual TB questionnaire
Immunizations: Documentation of or declination for Tdap, measles/mumps/rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, and seasonal flu
Fit test: Completed within 1 year of start and updated annually (required for onsite candidates)
Orientation: Online orientation test completed before start with a 100% score required
