Employment Type: Travel Location: San Jose, California Contract Length: 12 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Unit Overview

Unit: Emergency Department
Beds: 36
Staff: 113
Staffing Mix (day shift example): 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters
Patient Ratios: 4:1, with critical care patients at 1:1 or 2:1
Procedures: Stroke and STEMI center
Floating: None
Dress Code: Scrubs, no specific color
Schedule: Work every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
Emergency Department experience within the last year
Experience in an acute care setting
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) certification
NIH Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Charge nurse experience
Prior travel/interim experience working in California
