RN House Supervisor (Night Shift)

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1

Schedule and Assignment

• Shift: Night
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 shifts per month
• On Call: Not required
• Floor: All
• Float Scope: Must be able to assist in all units

Unit Information

• Beds: 10-bed ED, 15-bed MS, 4-bed ICU
• Patient Ratios: MS 5:1, ICU 2
• Equipment: Multiple
• Patient Population: MS/ICU adults and geriatric patients; ED patients from neonate through older adult

Requirements

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• 4 years of experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Clinic experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Role Responsibilities and Expectations

• Must be able to care for ICU and ED patients and assist with MS patients
• Provides after-hours leadership, serves as a resource person for staff, assists in patient care, and is responsible for overall quality of patient care in the facility
• Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Needs a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment with limited resources

Dress Code

• Scrubs in any color
• No open-toed shoes, artificial nails, or unkempt appearance
