ICU Registered Nurse (Travel)

Location: Pikeville, KY Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 6 weeks Start Date: ASAP Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (no blocked schedule requests)

Required Qualifications

• Kentucky/Compact RN License
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• EKG test, completed during the compliance process
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience
• Level I or Level II ICU skillset
• COVID vaccine, unless a medical or religious declination is accepted. If declined, weekly testing is required at the traveler's or agency's expense and must be verified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Charting experience (will train on-site)

Unit Information

• 340-bed Level II Trauma Center
• ICU has 59 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2

Schedule and Float

• Guaranteed 48 hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed
• Hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation
• Every other weekend and holiday is required unless time off is approved
• On-call/call-back: N/A
• 75-mile radius rule applies
• May be asked to float to Med Surg or cardiac units with a lower ratio, across all in-patient areas
• May be tasked as an aide if other units need assistance
