MS/Tele Registered Nurse

Location: Columbia, Missouri Unit/Assignment: Float to adult MS Cluster (Tele is listed in the job title) Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Contract Options: 36- or 48-hour contracts available Shift: Night (4x12 hours), 19:00 to 7:00 Hours: 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week Ratio: 1:5-6

Experience

• Preferred: 2 years of medical-surgical experience. The facility will consider 1.5 years for quality candidates.
• Travel experience: Accepts first-time travelers.
• Local candidates: Accepted, but not eligible for extensions beyond the initial contract.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Job Duties and Physical Demands

• Very active role requiring ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
• Works in a facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with rotating shifts, holidays, and work during inclement weather.
• Must work the full contract at the assigned work location, the substantial time of the assigned shift, call, assigned weekends, and at least 50% of holidays that fall within the contract.
• Holidays: RTO is not granted for holidays, but the traveler can choose which holidays to work to meet the 50% requirement.
