Patient ratio: 1:3/4
Equipment: Trach, Vent, Vapo, BiPAP
Respiratory focus: Very respiratory-heavy floor
Typical patients: Respiratory failure, ETOH, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, COPD, cancer
Float: As needed, to a similar or lower acuity unit

Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 (must be indicated on submission form)
Blocked scheduling: May be approved based on facility requirements (must be listed on submission form)
Weekend hours: As required by facility, every other weekend
Call: None
Time off requests: Requests of 5 days or less must be made up at the back end of the week. Holiday requests are limited to 1 per assignment.
Orientation: Nights orient on day shift. Traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.
Contingency requests: All must be on the submission form

Physical demands: Stand and walk most of the time, significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance, push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 15 lbs, and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
Exposure: High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
Dress code: Black scrubs; no other attire
Personality fit: Teamwork, dependability, flexibility
