Surgical Tech 2

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Employment Type: Clinical, Allied, Travel Contract Length: 18 weeks Shift: 1st shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Role Summary

• Collaborates with the surgical team to provide patient care, ensuring patient goals are met and the hospital's mission is carried out.
• Performs procedures across a variety of specialties, requiring knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrates a higher level of collaboration with peers in making decisions related to surgical patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
• High School diploma or GED, plus one of the following:

  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist program.
  • Completion of a military Operating Room Specialist training program.
  • Completion of a Froedtert Health-sponsored Apprentice II program.
  • Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider, or an AHA-approved equivalent.
