Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Location: Iron River, Michigan Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: As soon as possible

Schedule

• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 biweekly; overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend/holiday
• On Call/Call Back: May be low censused and placed on call; call-back minimum is 2 hours

Unit and Duties

• Unit: 25-bed Med/Surg unit
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on days; 1:6 on nights
• Float Requirements: Float to ED within competency required
• Job Duties: General nursing care for primarily geriatric patients (CHF, COPD, diabetes, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Med Surg experience (2 years)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Other Details

• Systems/Skills: Strong charting experience with an EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis
• ICU experience is not required.
