House Supervisor: RN Night Shift Nursing Supervisor

Location: San Leandro, California Employment type: Travel/Contract Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: Night (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 07:30 Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Weekends: Every other weekend Block shift requests: Can be made

Required Qualifications

• Specialty experience: 2 years
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS, both AHA only
• Skills: Inpatient acute care, emergency care, internal disaster management, HIPAA, discharge planning, risk management, customer service, incident reporting, infection control, survey preparedness
• State license: Current and unencumbered, verified within 15 days before start
• NURSYS verification (RN): Current and unencumbered, verified within 15 days before start
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): Required for ER and ED assignments
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment: Required
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam and competency exam: Required as applicable to the placement
• Competencies and New Employee Orientation modules: Must be completed on the first day of work. Assignments are terminated if they are not complete within 14 days of start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: NIHSS, NRP, and PALS
• Experience: Charge experience

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Identification: Driver's license or passport, with a clear, color photo
• Badge photo: Passport style, no filters, submitted on the badge photo request form
• Background check: Required within 90 days before start, including criminal, sanction, and sex offender searches. Pending searches are not accepted.
• Education verification: Third-party verification of the highest level of education required for the position
• Work history: Verification of the past 3 years of employment, and a resume covering the last 7 years
• Health documents:

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by an MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN
  • Tdap within 10 years of start, or a signed declination (Td not accepted)
  • Negative TB test (IGRA or two PPDs) or chest X-ray, with an annual TB questionnaire
  • Proof of two MMR vaccinations or positive IgG titers for measles, mumps, and rubella
  • Proof of two varicella vaccinations or a positive IgG titer
  • Hepatitis B positive titer, or proof of the 3-dose series, or a signed declination
  • Annual flu vaccination or declination during flu season
  • Fit test within 90 days using an acceptable N95 mask (PAPR accepted only with approved failed-test documentation)
  • Color blindness exam within 90 days
• Drug screen: Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start. Rapid tests are not accepted.
