Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Chicago, Illinois Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks, needed through March 6, 2026 Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 to 19:30) Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Schedule: Every other weekend, with some possible holidays

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Oncology experience (1 year), with experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Background and Compliance

Criminal background check within 6 months of start, with a 7-year search including alias, county, and National Sex Offender searches
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, run within 30 days of start and updated monthly
Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screens not accepted)
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by an MD, PA, NP, or DO
N95 mask fit test within 1 year of start
Tdap within 10 years of start
TB: two PPDs (first within 1 year of start, second within 90 days of start) or a Quantiferon Gold within 3 months of start. An annual TB questionnaire is required in place of an annual TB test.
Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity: positive titer, two vaccines after the 1st birthday, or physician documentation of disease
Hepatitis B: vaccine series, positive surface antibody titer, or declination
Flu vaccine or an approved medical/religious exemption is required during flu season (December 1 to April 30). Declinations are not accepted. Exemptions require a facility-specific form submitted immediately, since the facility needs 2 weeks for review.
