Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Durham, North Carolina (will work throughout Durham County) Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Targeted Start Date: 11/30 (latest) or 11/16 (soonest) Schedule: Day shift, 5 x 8 hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, no call, no weekends Role Purpose: RN to assist with caseloads and increased referrals

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of Home Health experience in a Home Health or Hospice setting, with experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic

Conditional Certifications (Depends on Unit)

• ACLS (AHA only)
• PALS (AHA only)
• NRP (AHA/AAP only; an Essentials Provider certification may be acceptable case by case)
• CPI (a CPI Blue Card is required; training is provided on site if the candidate does not have one)
• Chemotherapy (CHEMO)
• NIH Stroke Certification

Background and Clearances

• NC SBI fingerprint results, completed within 30 days of start (may pend at start with proof of completion)
• Background check, completed within 90 days of start, with a 7-year county history
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, completed within 90 days of start
• OFAC sanctions list search, completed within 30 days of start
• Facility guest account set up before clearance
• Employment application with 7 years of work history
• Two professional references from employment within 12 months of start, at least one from a supervisor
• Skills checklist, updated annually
• Competency checklist (CBO) completed within 3 weeks after start

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative 10-panel drug test with THC within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-Spot) within 12 months of start; TB questionnaire required
• Td or Tdap every 10 years (no declinations or exemptions)
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B: vaccines, titers, or declination as specified (no exemptions for measles, mumps, or rubella)
• Seasonal flu vaccine for 2026-27 (no declinations or exemptions)
• Polio vaccine or signed attestation
