Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Memphis, Missouri Employment Type: Travel/Contract Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility and Unit

• 25-bed critical access hospital
• Med Surg unit caring for observation, acute, and skilled/swing bed patients
• Facility housing available (at additional cost)
• Local candidates accepted
• No radius restriction
• First-time travelers accepted

Schedule

• Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM (3 x 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Block scheduling not written into contract; facility attempts to accommodate requests with preference scheduling
• Unit scrub color: any

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Med Surg experience (1 year minimum)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Step-down level experience

Pre-Start Requirements

• Background and screening: 7-year search of locations worked and lived, SS trace, county and statewide searches, sex offender search (updated annually), international searches if applicable, Missouri EDL search (updated quarterly), Missouri Highway Patrol check, EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (quarterly)
• Work eligibility: E-Verify (I-9 or attestation), photo ID
• Drug screen: 11-panel within 30 days of start
• Health documentation: Physical exam signed by an MD, PA, or NP; TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year of start); TB questionnaire (updated annually); Rubeola, mumps, rubella, and varicella titers or documented MMR/varicella vaccinations; Hepatitis B series, positive titer, or signed declination; flu vaccine, declination, or exemption on file during flu season (facility offers vaccine clinics); COVID-19 medical or religious exemption accepted
• Orientation: Safety manual acknowledgment
