MS/Tele Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Winston Salem, North Carolina
• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Ratio: 1:6
• Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• 2 or more completed travel assignments
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Neuro patients
• IV insertion skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS

Unit Details

• 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• 42 daily census
• 43 rooms/beds

Float Scope

• Floating required to other MS/Tele areas
• May include COVID care units
• Frequent floating may be required

Scheduling Notes

• Preferred scheduling
• Block scheduling is not always guaranteed
• If a traveler calls off a scheduled weekend shift, the weekend shifts must be made up based on unit needs
• If RTO includes weekends, time will be added to the end of the contract to make up those dates
• RTO after booking is not allowed

Patient Population

• Primarily stroke patients
• Also possible neurosurgery patients and other neuro diagnoses, including epilepsy and traumatic/non-traumatic subdural hematomas
