Medical Assistant

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Seattle, Washington
• Based in a Heart & Vascular Clinic
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8s, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Covers a maternity leave
• Available November 2026 through March 2027, with possibility of extension
• Open to local and non-local candidates
• In-person at the clinic; no floating between like units
• First-timers accepted
• Weekends and on-call are not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid CMA license in Washington
• Clinic experience of at least 1 year, obtained within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association, Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation, or RQI
• Experience working with adult patients
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Experience with Epic

Not Considered

• Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) is considered
• Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) is not considered
• Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT) is not considered

Skills

• Vital signs, including height/weight, 12-lead EKG/ECG, and pulse oximetry
• Preparing for exams by recording history, medications, and allergies
• Office duties including authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, scheduling appointments, stocking supplies, and telephone triage
• Reviewing lab tests
• Rooming patients

• Permanent hire may be possible if a full-time position becomes available at the end of the contract
