PACU/Same Day Surgery RN
Location: Berkeley, California Contract Length: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift and Schedule
- Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 to 17:00), 40 hours per week
- Variable start times between 7:00 and 10:00 am
- Occasional on-call shifts (as needed)
Assignment
- Same Day Surgery/PreOp patients
- Floats between PACU and Same Day Surgery (Phase I and Phase II areas)
- The RN serves as the patient's primary nurse, responsible for the overall nursing care from admission to discharge, including assessment, planning, care coordination, medication administration, documentation, and emergency response.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, with experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
