Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN

Overview

• Travel RN assignment in Pikeville, Kentucky
• 8-week contract
• Start ASAP
• 12-hour nights
• No blocked scheduling
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday required unless time off is approved
• Primary location is a 340-bed Level II Trauma Center
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Unit beds vary from 15 to 45 depending on the unit
• Scrub color: black

Required Qualifications

• Kentucky or Compact RN license
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• NIHSS
• 1 year as an RN in the specialty
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience
• Must be able to read and interpret tele strips
• EKG test required during compliance

Preferred

• Care View/EPIC charting experience; on-site training provided

Float Scope

• May float throughout Med Surg/Tele units and all in-patient areas
• May be tasked as an aide if other units need assistance

Other Requirements

• COVID vaccine required unless a medical or religious declination is accepted; if declined, weekly testing is required at the traveler/agency expense
• GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation
