Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment in Medford, Wisconsin
• 13-week contract
• Start ASAP
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour variable shifts, primarily PM or Nights
• Every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• WI or compact RN license
• ARC or AHA BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• 2+ years of experience
• Ability to read tele strips

Preferred Qualifications

• ED or ICU experience

Unit Details

• 20-bed Medical-Surgical unit
• Typical census: 8-10
• ICU and Med Surg are a shared unit; ICU has 3 beds
• 25-bed critical access hospital
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6-7 on Evenings/Nights

Float / On-Call

• Occasional float support to other departments for help only; no patient load
• May float to Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade
• May be placed on call during low census hours
• Call back minimum is 2 hours

Additional Details

• Any clean, work-appropriate scrubs
• Epic charting preferred
• Flu season masking is required for travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination
