Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

• Location: Fort Myers, Florida
• Unit(s): 3E GI SPCU and 3W SPCU (the traveler works both units)
• Beds and ratio: 36 beds, 4:1 patient ratio
• Start: January
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida (license number must be included in the submission profile)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Work Environment and Expectations

• Software: Epic EMR
• Floating is required. Travelers are first to float and may float to other facilities in the system.
• Travelers are welcomed into the units and are expected to function as core staff does.
• Culture is very important to the unit.

Logistics and Process

• Radius rule: must live within 50 miles of the permanent address.
• Clinical interview and offer process.
• All RTO must be included at submission. No RTO will be approved after submission.
• Full demographic information (address, email, full date of birth, full Social Security number, and RN license number) must be loaded into the profile at submittal. Candidates without it cannot be confirmed.
• Hard document deadline is the Monday before the start date. No exceptions for pending documents.
