Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey Contract Length: 24 weeks Employment Type: Clinical Hours: 40 per week, 10 hours per day Schedule: Mon/Tue/Thu 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM; Wed 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Friday off Sites: Rotates between Little Egg Harbor (Mon/Tue/Wed) and Manahawkin (Thu), in a Family Medicine setting Weekends, Holidays, On-Call: None required Floating: Required Scrub Color: White top, navy blue bottom

Job Summary

The LPN provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN professional and takes responsibility and accountability for patient care as a team member to achieve established outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-interpretable data collection on an ongoing, systematic basis, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
• Provides hygienic care; assists with ambulation and meals as directed by the RN.
• Positions patients and provides pre-op, post-op, and post-mortem care as indicated.
• Maintains a safe patient environment by answering call lights promptly and immediately communicating changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Adapts care to the needs of the patient population (age, culture, language, hearing or visual impairment), communicating with patients, parents, and caregivers at their level.
• Has regular contact with staff, patients, and visitors.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience
• Education: High school diploma or GED, and completion of an accredited LPN program
• Licensure: Current valid New Jersey LPN license
• Certification: Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Hard Skills: Point of care, assistance with minor surgeries, injections
• Soft Skills: Care coordination calls, messaging pools
