Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Hartford, Connecticut
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius

Role Summary

• Procedural sedation unit covering all 3 phases of care for procedures done outside the OR
• Works with sedation providers and anesthesiologists
• Supports radiology for diagnostic testing, specifically MRI
• Monday through Friday ambulatory unit; does not admit patients

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care experience within the last year
• 1 year of Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care experience
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• Pediatric Medication Calculation Exam
• Two references from the past 2 years, both from direct supervisors
• 7 years of employment history with explanation of gaps
• Last 7 years of work history must be verifiable
• Skills checklist within 1 year of start
• Competency exam with 80% or higher within a year of start
• Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III
• OSHA Mandatory
• Photo for badge
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test annually
• Tdap within 10 years of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire for past positive TB
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella immunization/documentation
• Drug testing within 30 days of start
• Current season influenza vaccine or approved exemption documentation
• Background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, education verification, OFAC sanctions list search, and sex offender search
• Drivers license or state ID
