Location: Fountain Valley, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Specialty: Registered Nurse (Telemetry)

Shift

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Sunday through Saturday
• Weekend coverage required
• Float required

Patient Population

• Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic

Notes

• The source states NIH Stroke certification is not required for Telemetry RNs, although NIHSS appears in the required certifications list.
• Telemetry RNs must complete the EKG-based Arrhythmia Recognition Assessment, which includes correct identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, third-degree heart block, and asystole.
• Hepatitis C titer is strongly preferred, but declination is accepted with a stated reason.
• Modules must be completed before starting on the floor; orientation includes an onsite day 2 module session.
• Candidates must complete the confidentiality agreement within 72 hours of signing.
• Masking is required for candidates who are not fully vaccinated for COVID or do not have a current flu vaccine.
