RN - ICU

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), 36 hours per week, with weekends required

Experience Required: 1+ years of minimum experience

Responsibilities

• Perform independent and delegated nursing functions under the state Board of Nursing's standards of practice
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Collect and assess health data on an ongoing basis
• Provide health teaching and counseling
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
• Document in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule and Scope

• Float: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, based on business need
• On-call: The description states the role may be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift, while the schedule section lists on-call as "No"

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
