Location: Portland, Maine Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Hours per Week: 48 (weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48) Weekend Hours: 36 per weekend (unless otherwise noted); every other weekend required Call Requirements: None

Unit Details

Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), 20-bed unit in a tertiary care teaching institute
Beds: 32 total (20 Medical, 12 Neuro ICU)
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Types: Primarily medical complications related to sepsis, ARDS, GI bleeds, DKA, and others
Float Scope: Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CTICU, based on HCP experience. May also float to any IMC at the organization, with a 1:3 patient ratio in IMC.

Requirements

Licensure: Valid RN license in Maine
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Required Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
Required Experience: 2 years of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience, with MICU experience within the last year
