Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool, providing care in Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) settings. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to various nursing units as needed.

<h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Provide high-quality patient care across IMC, PCU, and MedSurg units.</li>
 <li>Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and vital signs.</li>
 <li>Float between IMC and medical units, including taking care of medicine/IMC level boarders in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit as necessary.</li>
 <li>Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.</li>
 <li>Participate in patient education and support families in understanding care procedures and health conditions.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Qualifications:</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least one travel assignment completed.</li>
 <li>Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, achieving a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.</li>
 <li>Cerifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.</li>
 <li>Proficiency in caring for patients in PCU, DOU, IMC, and Stepdown environments, with experience in Telemetry and ER Holding.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Work Schedule:</h2>
This position requires night shifts with a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays based on hospital needs. The clinician will work 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15).

<h2>Unit Information:</h2>
<ul>
 <li>IMC: 15-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.</li>
 <li>MedSurg: 44-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6.</li>
 <li>Telemetry: 34-bed unit.</li>
</ul>

All employees are required to receive the Flu vaccine. Scrubs are not provided; the designated color is Caribbean Blue.

The clinician will report to the staffing office for float assignments as needed.
