Certified Surgical Technician

Overview

• Location: Ridgecrest, California
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 4 x 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-Call: Yes
• Floating: Not permitted

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA)
• Experience working with General Surgery patients
• Experience working with OB-GYN patients
• Experience working with Ophthalmology patients
• Experience working with Plastics patients
• Driver's License
• Familiarity with total joint surgery procedures
• Experience with urology surgery
• Experience with GI surgery

Onboarding Requirements

• Health and Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, varicella, Tdap, TB test, annual TB questionnaire, physical/health statement, and drug screen
• Background and Verification: Criminal background check results, criminal background attestation form (county, statewide, and national check within 6 months of start date, covering 7 years of lived and worked locations including name changes and aliases), Social Security trace (within 6 months of start date, showing actual addresses lived), education verification, employment verification, Motor Vehicle Report and attestation form, EPLS, and two professional references
• Employment Eligibility: I-9 and I-9 attestation, and driver's license or state ID
• Assignment and Training: Confirmation of Assignment (COA), skills checklist, core competencies checklist, unit competency exam, and webchecks
