Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (18:30 to 06:30) Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week

Requirements

• Polysomnographer with at least 2 years of experience, with polysomnographer experience within the last year
• RPSGT or RRT-SDS/CRT-SDS
• Polysomnographic Technologist, Registered: RST (ABSM), RPSGT (BRPT), or CRT-SDS/RRT-SDS (NBRC)
• National technical certification verification required within 60 days of start
• Valid N95 fit test (3M 1870+, 3M 1860R, 3M 1860S, or 3M 9205) within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Competency exam, as applicable to the profession
• Skills checklist, updated annually
• Two professional references from the last 2 years (must be someone the candidate worked with, not necessarily a supervisor)
• Resume showing at least 7 years of employment with all gaps accounted for, with no gap longer than 30 days
• Photo ID and proof of E-Verify or attestation

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric experience
• Natus software familiarity

Health and Background Requirements

• 7-year background check within 60 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion checks within 60 days of start
• Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or Missouri Caregiver search on file within 60 days of start (one or the other, not both pending)
• Missouri EDL search within 60 days of start
• International background check if the candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
• Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• TB clearance within 1 year of start: negative QuantiFERON-Gold or T-SPOT, or a 2-step PPD. Positive results require a chest x-ray.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity by positive titer or completed vaccine series (declinations not accepted for new candidates signed on or after 7/1/2023)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
• Seasonal flu vaccine or approved exemption required during flu season (10/01 to 03/31)

Job Duties and Work Conditions

• Work at the assigned location for the full contract term
• Work the substantial time of the assigned shift
• Take call
• Work assigned weekends
• Work at least 50% of the holidays during the contract
• Rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather work
• Ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Regular contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• Not open to local candidates within 50 miles
