ER Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Slidell, Louisiana Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 to 07:15) Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week

Unit Details

• Visits per day: 55
• Beds: 15
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
• Scrub color: Royal blue
• The unit will accept first-time travelers.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Emergency Department (ED) experience of 2 years, including experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Assignment Details

• Emergency team: The unit manager may assign you to an emergency team, which requires staying at the facility until the event passes or joining the relief team. By accepting, you agree to report as assigned.
• Holiday coverage: Candidates must work 2 of 4 designated holidays each year: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Some units may require traveler coverage.
• Hurricane season: An emergency preparedness checklist is required for assignments from June 1 to November 30.
