Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Charleston, West Virginia
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekdays, every other weekend
• First-timers accepted
• No call requirement
• Float within scope as needed
• 100-mile radius rule; 75–99 miles may be sent for facility approval

Unit Details

• 3S Intermediate Care Unit
• 8 IMC beds / 10 Observation beds, staffed separately
• Cares for medical patients including respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients
• Cares for telemetry patients with medical and surgical needs as well as the renal population
• Ratios: 3:1 for IMCU / 4:1 for M/S

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• 1 year of stepdown experience
• ICU experience
• Experience with mechanical ventilation
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License

Schedule Notes

• Every other weekend required
• Orientation is held every other week on Thursday
• Block schedule requests may be accommodated and should be discussed in interview
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 per week, discussed with manager
