Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Dayton, Ohio Contract: 13 weeks (winter assignment; 18-week option noted in source) Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30 Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (48 hours per week in job data) Patient ratios: Targeted 1:4, may be up to 1:5 to 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience (1 year), within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with mechanical ventilation
• Experience with Epic

Preferred

• 1.5 years of experience, and some level 1 or 2 experience
• Travel experience
• IV start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity via titer or 2 vaccines (attestation also accepted)
• Flu vaccination (strongly recommended regardless of role)

Floating and Staffing

• Traveler is first to float, at the discretion of the organization.
• Agency staff float in and out of specialty clusters, receiving a medically appropriate assignment or supporting the nursing care team of the unit floated to.
• If assigned to the main campus location, the traveler may float to a south campus less than 10 miles away and a north campus less than 15 miles away.
• Must work every other weekend and holiday, and at minimum every other holiday.
• The organization may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census.
• The organization may cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
• RTO requests must be included with the initial submittal. No RTO is added after the offer, and approval is at the manager's discretion.
• Submittal must include the application and a current Nursys report.
