Schedule

Night shifts, 12 hours (19:00 to 7:00)
3x12 or 4x12 schedule, 48 hours per week
Biweekly orientation on Mondays

Float Scope

Float to Intermediate and MedSurg units
Travelers float first as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience of 1 year, within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

Certifications Required Per Unit

PALS, NRP (Advanced Provider card, not Essentials), EFM (AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate), and CPI, as applicable to the unit
NIH Stroke Scale required within 1 year of start, updated every 2 years

Submission Requirements

Single PDF containing: candidate profile (work history), specialty skills checklist, minimum 2 manager/charge references from the past 2 years, and RN license verification pulled within 2 days of submission date
Copies of all required certifications included in the submittal packet
References: 2 professional references for travel roles, from within 3 years of hire

Onboarding Requirements

Facility onboarding form and MIS/Confidentiality form completed through the facility's online system
Signed consent for blood draw
Signed orientation safety manual acknowledgment
Medication/pharmacology competency exam and specialty competency exam
