Unit Information
- Unit: Telemetry / Med Surg with PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
- Floor: 4th floor, Main Hospital building
- Number of beds: 32
- Staff per shift: 7-12 total
- Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 4-8 RNs, 2 floor CNAs, 1 sitter
- Night shift: similar staffing
- Patient ratio: 4-5 patients per nurse
- Equipment: GE Telemetry system
- EMR system: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Telemetry experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience caring for post-op CABG patients
- Experience with Meditech EMR
Typical Procedures Performed
- IV starts
- Foley catheter insertion
- Chest tube removal
