Location: Omaha, Nebraska Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week), 4x10 schedule, 6:45 AM-5:15 PM or until the case is done; occasionally stay late Scheduling: No self-scheduling; variable day off

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Must be well rounded in cardiac and vascular
• Must have open heart and endovascular experience
• Circulating required

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• 1-2 years of experience
• Previous travel experience
• Vascular hybrid experience
• Scrubbing is a bonus

Unit Details

• Unit: CV OR
• Suites: 2 dedicated heart rooms, 1 hybrid suite, and 1-2 open surgical rooms for various cases
• Daily volume: 8-14 varied vascular, thoracic, and heart cases per day
• Common cases: Open heart, CABG, valve replacements, thoracic, vascular, open and endovascular, AAA, IVC filters
• Staffing: 1 circulator in vascular and typically 2 in opens; OR techs are present
• Leadership: 2 charge leads available, plus a CV coordinator-expert resource and a service leader
• Floating: Main OR or within skillset

Call and Holidays

• Mandatory call/standby: Yes; permanent staff typically take call first unless a traveler requests call
• Weeknight call: Typically 1-2 week nights per week, 5 PM-7 AM (2 scrub techs and a nurse)
• Weekend call: 1 or 2 weekends per month
• Holidays: Flexibility to work holidays if needed
• Call response time: 30 minutes, in OR dressed and ready to go

• Scrub color and dress code provided
• Unit/department orientation: up to 1 week with a preceptor
• Ideal candidate: goes with the flow, jumps in, is a team player, and is willing to pick up call as needed
