Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit Details

• 3rd floor Surgical care unit (Med/Surg)
• 28 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5 days, 1:5-6 nights
• Post-surgical care patients with drains, chest tubes, and pain management
• Tele techs monitor the unit from a central monitoring room
• Nurse aids are on the unit

Required Qualifications

• RN
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• General med-surg experience
• Must be able to titrate drips

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with surgical population

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling
• Weekend requirement: minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement

Floating

• May float within Zone 3 if needed
• First to float
• Floating determined by the nurse manager and department needs

Clinical Support / Equipment

• NC up to 6L
• Cpap
• BiPap if for night use only

Additional Details

• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Navy blue scrubs
• Candidate interview is with the MedSol Clinical Team
• Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are completed remotely
