Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry (Days)

Location: Mount Clemens, MI Employment Type: Temp Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 12 hours per day

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application
• BLS
• Michigan license verification (provide license verification; if there is a license hit, a write-up of what happened is in the traveler's best interest)

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care through the nursing process
• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs
• Makes appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions
• Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing practice standards
• Directs, coordinates, and delegates activities to foster patient and family-centered care
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development

Policies

• References are not required
• Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment
• Strict 3-strike attendance policy: any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or more than 20 minutes late 3 times will be terminated. Communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in the contractor's favor.
