Overview

Travel/Contract role in Jersey City, New Jersey
13-week assignment
Night shift, 3x12 hours: 19:00–07:15
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
Based on the unit/department: CVICU
Floating may include CCU, CTICU, ICU, and stepdown

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
CVICU experience within the last year
1 year of CVICU experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
IV Certification
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Fresh open heart surgical patient experience
Experience caring for CABG patients
Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
Experience with Impella
Experience with transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)

Clinical Details

Patient ratios are 1:2 by regulation and may go to 1:3 based on acuity
Fresh cardiac open heart patients are 1:1
Charting system: Epic
Scrubs: Royal Blue
