Registered Nurse – Cath Lab

Location: Sayre, Pennsylvania Employment Type: Travel/Contract, 13 weeks Shift: Day, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), 40 hours per week Call: 1-2 shifts per week Weekends: Every 3rd weekend required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience of 3 years, including experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). AHA or ARC accepted. For AHA, Instructor, Provider, and RQI are acceptable.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. For AHA, Instructor, Provider, and RQI are acceptable. Required for all clinical travelers.
• The unit accepts first-time travelers

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually, signed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. It must state the traveler is clear to work with or without accommodations, free from communicable disease, and habituation.
• TB: QuantiFERON/T-SPOT within 90 days of start (preferred), or 2 PPDs (one within 90 days of start and a second within 12 months). A TB questionnaire is required within 30 days of start and updated annually. A positive result requires treatment documentation, and a chest X-ray within the last 2 years.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella: positive IgG titer or 2 vaccines. Low or equivocal titers require 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart.
• Hepatitis B: vaccine series, declination, or positive titer
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season. Declinations are not accepted.
• COVID: 2 vaccines or medical/religious exemption
• Respirator fit test within 1 year of start, cannot be done onsite, updated annually. Must test with 3M 1860 (small or regular) or 3M 1870+ (universal, preferred).
• RespSafety clearance required before start

Onboarding and Facility Requirements

• Employment application
• Unit-specific skills checklist, completed within 1 year of start and updated annually
• Facility modules required for all travelers: HIPAA, DEI, infection control, OSHA, safety/security/emergency preparedness, sexual harassment, and SOGI
• RN suicide precautions modules and quiz, requiring a score of 80% or higher
• Confidentiality agreement and job description, both signed before start
• Badge photo meeting the facility's specified requirements
