Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Location: Beatrice, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Job Overview

• Primarily working with a pediatric patient population
• Patient diagnoses commonly include language/speech delay, autism, Down syndrome, articulation/phonological disorders
• Work setting is mainly outpatient with possible occasional inpatient coverage
• Able to work independently and collaborate with all disciplines within the Rehab department, including support staff
• Use of EMR system: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in Nebraska
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in Speech Therapy

Work Environment & Schedule

• Typical hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or as patients are scheduled
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Department orientation details provided during interview
• Dress code: polo tops, scrubs, or jogger activewear bottoms
• Rehab aides are staffed; no Speech Language Aide (SLA) support

Team Structure

• Department Director is a Physical Therapist
• One other SLP on duty per shift
