RN - Adolescent Psych IP

Location: West Peoria, Illinois Employment Type: Clinical-Nursing Specialty: Adolescent Psych IP Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Role Summary

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the RN contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills to the provision and management of patient care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing patients through interview, observation, and physical assessment
• Developing, using, and modifying individualized plans of care with patients, families, and the care team
• Evaluating and documenting patient progress throughout the shift
• Performing patient bedside lab testing and specimen collection in line with provider orders and lab policies
• Providing goal-focused shift report and teaching patients and families appropriate to their age
• Completing required documentation, including patient charts and event reports

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Psychiatric nursing experience of at least 5 years
• Psychiatric nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
