Overview

• Location: Long Beach, California
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Unit type: Step down
• Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 to 07:30)
• Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week
• New travelers: First-time travelers are welcome.
• Experience: 2 years in the specialty

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Stepdown (2 years of experience)
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• COVID vaccination record

Other Requirements

• Two professional references
• Employment application
• Review prior to start (nothing to submit): drug and alcohol-free policy, hand hygiene policy, dress and appearance policy, discharge optimization, and care briefing (for RNs)
• Required online modules, including HIPAA and facility modules (approximately 8 hours), completed before start
• No badge photo required for this location

Important Notes

• California law prohibits urine testing for marijuana and THC. Saliva testing for the parent compound of THC may be required, and a urine and saliva screen may both be needed. Exemptions are case-specific.
