RN CVICU-Peds, Critical Care Float Traveler
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 (night)
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Department: Critical Care Float Pool (float assignment)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float experience (2 years)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care) experience
- CVICU experience
- NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience
- NIHSS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- PALS certification
- Driver's license (not expired, front and back shown, address matching records)

- Unit-specific checklist, optional for onboarding but must be uploaded by the unit leader within one week.
