Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Location: Seymour, Indiana Specialty: Surgical Services Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday), 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
CST, NBSTSA, or NCCT certification
Driver's License

Certifications Listed

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
AHA or ARC certification; other vendors may be acceptable if they include a written test and skills demonstration
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (annually)

Preferred / Other Details

First-time travelers: Accepted depending on experience
Local candidates: Accepted within an 80-mile radius
Float: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs, if there is a need
Block schedule: Not accommodated
Call: 3 to 4 shifts per month; weekend coverage included in the call schedule; no formal regular weekend shifts
Time off: Call out if more than a week
Orientation: 1 to 2 hours of computer-based learning modules (typically assigned 2 weeks before start), completed by the compliance due date and updated annually
